1528 uns taps have a straight flute, 8 pitch design, for efficient threading of through and blind holes with a pitch of 8 threads per inch (tpe), used in the oil industry. They are manufactured to conform to the american national standards institute and are made from premium high speed steel for great performance and a longer tool life, whilst the bright finish ensures clean and accurate threads by preventing workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tap. For great versatility, 1505 uns taps are suitable for hand tapping in a wide range of materials including steel, aluminum, stainless steel and cast iron.
