The 1500l range of hand taps should be used to create left hand threads in steel, stainless steel, aluminum and cast iron. They are available with a plug chamfer to create unc, unf and uns threads, conform to ansi standards and can be used for hand tapping many materials including steel, cast iron, aluminum and stainless steel. The bright finish prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting surfaces of the tap for clean and accurate threads, whilst the straight flutes mean both through and blind holes can be threaded by these 1500l union butterfield taps.
