1500ov taps have a straight flute, oversize design, for threading through and blind holes in components which will subsequently be treated/ plated. They are available in 5 unc sizes with a plug chamfer and have a bright finish for producing accurate threads by preventing workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the taps. Conforming to ansi standards and suitable for hand tapping a wide range of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron and steel, 1500ov oversize taps are made from high speed steel, providing great performance and a long tool life.
