1673ap applix taps are designed for performance tapping a wide variety of material. With sizes for producing metric coarse and metric fine threads, the taps are manufactured to conform to din and ansi standards and are made from powder metal high speed steel which provides superior performance and extended tool life, whilst the titanium carbo nitride coating further improves tool life and is an aid to performance when threading hard and abrasive materials. With a spiral point, 1673ap union butterfield machine taps should be used to thread holes which go all the way through the workpiece.
