Available for both unc and unf thread forms, 1593 hand taps have an oversize, straight flute design for threading through and blind holes in components which are to be treated/ plated. The bright finish prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool for more accurate and cleaner threads whilst the high speed steel used in manufacture will give you taps with great performance and an extended tool life. Conforming to ansi standards, 1593 unc/ unf taps can be used to hand tap many different materials, including aluminum, steel, cast iron and stainless steel.
