They are manufactured from high speed steel which provides great strength and longer tool life and are manufactured to conform to the american national standards institute. The spiral point makes the taps ideal for threading holes which go all the way through the workpiece, whilst the steam oxide finish ensures clean, accurate threads by preventing workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool.
