For unc and unf thread forms, the taps are manufactured to conform to both din and ansi standards and can be used for tapping softer materials such as free machining steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Made from powder metal high speed steel and with a titanium carbo nitride coating, 1691ap applix machine taps will give you great tool life and improved performance, particularly when tapping under high pressure and friction.
