With a 1 in 10 small pilot diameter taper lead, 4579 machine bridge reamers easily locate and align in pre-drilled holes. They are made from high speed steel and are suitable for reaming in a wide range of structural steel, with a taper shank which means they can be used in machine applications where the reamer is held directly in the spindle. The precision ground geometry of the left hand helix and right hand cutting provides smooth reaming and improves hole size and surface finish.
