Ts18co national aerospace standard drills in wire gauge sizes have a short length for drilling in confined areas and a square threaded shank, designed for right angled drilling heads. For clean and accurate holes, the tools have a steam oxide finish to prevent workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edges of the tool, whilst the premium high speed cobalt used in manufacture means the drills are great for drilling tough materials including titanium and stainless steel. The 135 degree split point is an aid to self-centering when drilling by hand, and also reduces the force needed to drill into the workpiece.
