4702 straight shank counterbore bodies in sizes from 1/4 inch to 2 inches have a 180 degree angle designed to create holes which will accommodate standard sockets and cap screw heads. They are made from high speed steel and are suitable for counterboring in many materials including steel, aluminum and stainless steel and have a hole which accepts various sized pilots (see 4704 pilots). With a bright finish to prevent workpiece material from sticking to the cutting surfaces to ensure clean and accurate counterboring, 4702 counterbore bodies are very versatile and can be used in both cnc and conventional machines.
